In 2004, two Portuguese nationals living in Cape Verde decided to show the tourists and visitors the island of São Vicente in a more detailed manner, places that are not widely known or spoken. São Vicente is an island flourished with different wild and magical places on its own way which are not accessible to many foreigners due to lack of information and the idea of Cape Verde safari is to take their clients to the real São Vicente, Santo Antão and Santa Luzia.
Cabo Verde Safari initially started its operations in 2005 with one 4x4 vehicle in the island of São Vicente and expanded there operations to Santo Antão which is the 2nd biggest Island in Cape Verde and the uninhabited island Santa Luzia.
Santo Antão is an island unique from all the others. Just as São Vicente, it has her own beauty to offer in a larger scale than São Vicente. Sceneries that are vary from deserts to green mountains and a mountainous and rugged terrain that can be accessible only by 4x4
vehicles.
Cabo Verde Safari now offers 8 exiting programs, 4 in São Vicente, 3 in Santo Antão and one in Santa Luzia, the uninhabited and unexplored island just about 40 minute ride from São Vicente with a sail boat or a fishing boat.
